 Barbara S. Bryant provides mediation and other conflict resolution services for ongoing legal disputes, as well as preventive mediation and facilitation between parties in conflict in workplace, business and other settings.
Ms. Bryant provides a process that is supportive and personalized, as well as one that produces results. She assists participants in achieving results that are practical, effective, and respectful of the priorities and dignity of all involved.
With her strong and varied conflict resolution experience, and her patience, persistence and flexibility, Ms. Bryant has established an excellent settlement track record in more than five-hundred mediated cases:
- nineteen years of litigation experience, both individual and class action cases in state and federal court, with an emphasis on employment, discrimination, sexual harassment and attorneys’ fees law;
- ten years of alternative dispute resolution experience, as a mediator, mediation coach, special master/discovery referee, settlement commissioner, and fact-finder/workplace investigator;
- demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of both plaintiffs and defendants, with a history of plaintiff-side litigation, employer-initiated workplace investigations, and consistently impartial dispute resolution services.
Ms. Bryant also is a speaker, trainer and author on conflict resolution, discrimination, employment and sexual harassment law, as well as an adjunct professor teaching sexual harassment law at Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley.
